In some aspects it seems like this has been going on for a long time. In others it seems like the time has flown by. Regardless, we're now at one day to go, and I for one am more than ready.
Mollie, Annie, and Luke are all here (along with Abbie and Zero). We've had a fun weekend together, including celebrating Mollie's birthday. We've also been getting things ready, such as cleaning and getting some tasks done like filing tax returns. The weather was nice, so Luke and I did some yard clean-up and planted potatoes. No asparagus popping up yet, but the crocuses are in bloom and the daffodils are peeking out. We also worked in some disc golf around the yard.
Tom got to visit his brother on Friday. His wife arrived Saturday, and they spent some time in his old hometown.
We had our last blood draws this morning to do the final cross-match and check. Now we guzzle water and eat what we can before the fasting begins at midnight. And then a short night's rest before the real fun begins.
