Eleven Weeks

Feeling a little better today after a day on the new antibiotic. Not really active, but only in bed for a couple of hours, which is a big improvement.

I got my weekly labs today and had a checkup with the doctor. He confirmed that all measures, including the sonogram, show that everything is great with the new kidney. That was great news, given the issues I've had the last week or so. The tenderness I've had in the area of the muscle wall incision is irritation and inflammation, likely exacerbated by the mechanics of the sonogram. Symptoms related to the urinary tract infection should be dealt with by the two week course of antibiotics.

As we near the three month mile-marker, there will be some adjustment of my meds. That's a good thing, as it means we're moving into maintenance mode. I'll continue weekly labs as levels get adjusted, but my next check-up is now in three months.

So despite some rough patches, the news continues to be good overall.
