Saturday marked three weeks without any issues or complications - a major milestone given the previous couple of months. Other than tiring fairly easily, it's great to feel good and carry on a fairly normal life.
Of course, I managed to test my boundaries that same day. I spent a few hours doing some various outdoor tasks. Given my condition and the hot humid weather, that probably should have been the extent of my activities for the day.
However, we were also going to a wedding late afternoon. The ceremony was outdoors, then other activities were indoors. I felt fine until we approached the five-hour point, which was time for me to go. By the time we got to the car, I was almost overwhelmed with exhaustion. My legs and back ached from standing (probably about three hours talking to various people; I haven't been out much since the transplant, and people wanted to chat). I was weak from not eating since late morning (the food at the wedding was all open self-serve buffet, something I avoid in my condition).
After a quick bite when we got home, I went to bed. We had two social engagements the next day, but Nancy had to go without me, as I didn't get out of bed until after noon and took a long nap later in the afternoon. I laid low today as well, and thankfully feel back up to speed this evening.
Lesson learned: I still have limitations, even when I'm feeling good. Just got to give it time.
