Everything went very smoothly, other than a delay of about an hour and a half waiting for my doctor to finish another surgery. I had the same anesthesiologist as for the transplant, and I was even in the same pre-op prep room (only 3 hours this time vs. 7 last time).
The surgery itself took about an hour, and the doctor was very positive about the results when he talked to Nancy afterwards. I did not have any nausea or even pain, just some minor irritation. Other than being a bit tired, I felt great the rest of that day and the two following so far.
Nancy relieved me this afternoon of the gift bag I brought home from the hospital. Now it's just resting and recuperating and gradually increasing activity again. Follow-up with the doctor will be in a week and a half.
Things are looking good.
