Seventeen/Three Weeks

Tuesday marked seventeen weeks post-transplant, and Friday was three weeks post-urological surgery. Not much to report, which is good news. Kidney function continues to be great, and I now get lab work done every two weeks instead of weekly. The secondary surgery continues to heal.

The remarkable thing for me about this past week is that I have had no issues or anomalies. No temperature spikes, no infections, no surprise pain, no intestinal discomfort, no ER visits! It's remarkable because it's by far the longest I've gone without issues since late May. Hooray!

Now it's back to building up my strength and endurance. It will take some time, but it's good to be moving forward again.

Also, we got to see Luke twice last week. He was in St. Louis for work, so we went to dinner one evening and to the Cardinals game another. It was the first time I had seen him since a week after the transplant, and it was great to get the chance and to feel good enough to enjoy it.
