Surprise!

My family managed to pull off a big surprise for me this weekend. I knew the girls were coming for an early birthday celebration. I didn't know until it happened that some of our friends were coming over for a surprise celebration. And it included a wonderful lemon meringue cake and delicious pecan pie.

I also didn't know what a grand birthday dinner they had planned and prepared for me. Pre-dinner treats, then smoked pork belly-wrapped pork loin plus a cauliflower medley and fresh bread, and topped off by tiramisu.

Add in lovely weather, some fine disc golf in the yard, and my birthday presents, and it was a great gift of a day!
