Lab results

My hemoglobin has recovered significantly and is getting closer to normal. My kidney function continues to be right where it should. Both of those are welcome news.

I've lost about 17 pounds of excess fluid since I came home, which is good, though still plenty more to go. I'm still very weak and tire easily, and I continue to use pain meds for my abdomen.

I think I'm getting a better appreciation for what Tom went through a year ago. I definitely had the easier recovery from surgery then, because I didn't have anything removed. Obviously this time I have, and it's a different experience. It also makes me that much more appreciative of the gift he gave me.
