Catching Up

It's been too long since I posted an update. The good news is that we're over three months out from the nephrectomy and 15 months from the transplant, and everything is going very well. I continue to feel good and can do most anything I want. Work out in the yard has been keeping me busy and getting me exercise. I haven't pulled out the golf clubs yet, mostly from lack of opportunity, which really means there's always something else to choose to do.

I had a dermatology screening and a colonoscopy recently, and both were clean, which is welcome news. Labs continue to be right where they should be.

One of the benefits of all this is that we feel free to make plans for the first time in quite a while. We've got a long weekend with the kids coming up at Lake of the Ozarks (our first time there), which will be fun. And Nancy and I will celebrate our upcoming 40th anniversary by spending some long desired time in Tuscany this fall.

Happy birthday to Mollie's husband Chris!

Life is very good. What a gift!
