I'm still working on regaining strength lost during that week in the hospital. Always surprises me how quickly that happens. Yesterday I managed to climb the thirteen steps from the basement without using the railings for the first time in almost two months. My appetite is great even though my tasters are still off. I'm averaging 2-3000 steps per day. [Note: I've discovered that walking with my hands in my pockets keeps my Fitbit from getting a good step count; so, I've been seen to wave my left arm rapidly while walking to make up the deficit. Also, that shaking my protein drinks with my left hand increases my step count.]
Along the way, I decided to step up my socks game. The white medical issue compression socks got boring, so I've been branching out.
While I'm not thrilled by the return to standard time and early darkness nor the abrupt onset of winter weather, we still enjoy each day, whatever it brings.
