Six Weeks

Six weeks ago today - wow. Just - wow.

Tom has his six-week evaluation with his doctor tomorrow. He's doing well, which will hopefully be confirmed, so he can begin resuming normal activities.

I previously posted the results of my six-week evaluation. Today the urologist removed the stent which was placed during surgery where the new kidney was attached to the bladder. An uncomfortable but necessary in-office procedure. He also identified a stricture in my urethra that has caused some problems and needs to be monitored to prevent stress on the kidney. I'll have a follow-up with a specialist at the end of the month.

On Friday I had thought that I would try going back to the office for an hour or two starting yesterday. However, I was exhausted and ended up laying low. Still tired today, and with the stent removal, I again stayed home. Good call, as I'm dragging this evening. So, we'll see how the rest of the week goes.

In the meantime - wow.
